Bloom est une ONG consacrée à la protection de l’océan, l'élimination des méthodes de pêche destructrices et la préservation d’équilibres socio-économiques positifs dans le secteur de la pêche artisanale. Fondée en 2005 par Claire Nouvian (lauréate du prix Goldman pour l'environnement en 2018), notre organisation mène des campagnes de sensibilisation et de plaidoyer afin d'accélérer l'adoption de solutions concrètes pour l'océan, les humains et le climat. Nos actions sont destinées au grand public ainsi qu'aux décideurs politiques et aux acteurs économiques. BLOOM étant composée pour moitié de chercheurs, notre équipe scientifique indépendante nous permet d'étudier tous les sujets, même les plus sensibles, afin de mettre en lumière des questions cruciales et non traitées.

Avec rigueur, persévérance et une détermination à toute épreuve, notre ONG a déjà obtenu des victoires majeures pour les écosystèmes et les animaux marins, comme l’interdiction du chalutage profond et de la pêche électrique en Europe. Notre vision est de prouver que stratégie, méthode et mobilisation citoyenne peuvent retourner la tragédie environnementale et humaine en cours.

L'artiste peintre Alexis Fraikin dévoile ses nouvelles oeuvres, dans une exposition intitulée En vie, du 22 au 30 septembre à la Galerie Mathieu Néouze dans le 9e arrondissement de Paris, en soutien à l’association Bloom.
Dans des toiles et dessins luxuriants, animaux réels et fantastiques se déploient en symbiose avec leur environnement. Écorce, écailles, plumes et pétales forment les motifs d’un univers naturel riche dans lequel l’animal et le végétal sont intimement liés. 

Durant trop longtemps, l’être humain s’est perçu comme au-dessus de la nature, développant avec elle une relation extractiviste aux conséquences désastreuses. En représentant la beauté inventive et exubérante du vivant, Alexis nous invite à reconsidérer notre place dans cet écosystème.

Le galeriste et l'artiste ne toucheront aucun pourcentage sur les ventes. L'intégralité des recettes sera versé à Bloom.

Bloom is an NGO devoted to the protection of the ocean, the elimination of destructive fishing methods and the preservation of positive socio-economic balances in the artisanal fishing sector.

Founded in 2005 by Claire Nouvian (winner of the Goldman Prize for the Environment in 2018), the organization leads awareness and advocacy campaigns to accelerate the adoption of concrete solutions for the ocean, people and the climate. Their actions are intended for the general public as well as political decision-makers and economic players.

BLOOM being half made up of researchers, our independent scientific team allows us to study all subjects, even the most sensitive, in order to shed light on crucial and unaddressed questions.

With rigor, perseverance and unfailing determination, the NGO has already achieved major victories for ecosystems and marine animals, such as the ban on deep-sea trawling and electric fishing in Europe.

Their vision is to prove that strategy, method and citizen mobilization can reverse the current environmental and human tragedy.

 

The painter Alexis Fraikin unveils his new works, in an exhibition entitled En vie, from September 22 to 30 at the Galerie Mathieu Néouze in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, in support of the Bloom association.

In lush canvases and drawings, real and fantastic animals unfold in symbiosis with their environment. Bark, scales, feathers and petals form the patterns of a rich natural universe in which animal and plant are intimately linked.

For too long, human beings have perceived themselves as above nature, developing with it an extractivist relationship with disastrous consequences.

By representing the inventive and exuberant beauty of the living, Alexis invites us to reconsider our place in this ecosystem.

 

The gallery owner and the artist will not receive any percentage on sales. All proceeds will be donated to Bloom.
